Royal Navy Destroyer HMS York was returning to Rosyth from The Gulf on Wednesday 29 July 1992 and a 74 Sqdn Phantom FGR.2 performed a flypast - CALLSIGN: TIGER. Wondering wether anyone knew what the serial number was please?.......

Let's hope it's not that long till we get another visit from an RAF Voyager, after all we get every other RAF Transport but hardly ever a Voyager, even if it's a PD for example.

Oh heck missed it the very plane I wanted to see with all the C-17s, A.400 & Hercs hope we get more Voyager visits now at Edinburgh. Can’t believe I missed it. :grr:

what a pleasant surprise that was, just happened to be on FR24 and saw a Herc heading North direct Edinburgh at low level, got to the window in time to see it turning to take up the beacon hold. Cheered my day up no end.

Caught it on the last 2 approaches heard something heavy on approach then saw large red nav lights on approach then thought I should have a look. How many approaches did it carry out?

Question regarding Black Mike - XV582.

I just wondered wether anyone would know why XV582 which was with 43 Sqdn at Leuchars was chosen to become 111 Sqdn Legend Black Mike? Did Treble One not have any suitable airframes which could do the job or was it because XV582 was a memorable serial number.?

Hi all on Tuesday 16 October and Wednesday 16 October 1991 I noticed an RAF Hercules circling overhead Edinburgh - Both days callsign was 3 QUEBEC TANGO 19. Thanks Mike will do. Won’t stay up for the A.400 saw one 3 times Yesterday so missing one won’t hurt.
