Just seen RAF Chinook heading North to Rosyth then heading South East again. Call sign VORTEX 442. - Any idea of an ID anyone?

Re: RIAT - The Cottesmore Years Pt. 2 RIAT 2000

Would have loved to have attended the RIAT at Cottesmore but unfortunately Family Illness and other pieces of bad luck (which I will not go into) prevented me going.

Re: Belgian and Norwegian D-Day F16’s

As I've posted elsewhere, If memory serves correctly did the RAF not dress a Typhoon in D-Day Stripe Markings back in 2014? For the display team or something, bit of a shame they couldn't have kept it on until now or revive it?

Ah what a shame, just found out I’ve got a prior family engagement that very day, but would have loved to have made it over. Sounds like an amazing event.

This may be the reason why my upcoming model is to have an all black scheme & be known as the “Batphoon”.

Now that would have been awesome last Year, preferable to that Red Block on Tail with 100 on it.

Just I keep popping back on here but never see any new pics so assume you have completed it, recently bought a new Revell 1/72 Eurofighter Typhoon Kit (Red Tailed German markings on box) which will become a IX Sqdn Aircraft (Have decided...

Re: Austrian Air Force

Was thinking when looking at this thread, if the reason for the Typhoon withdrawal is cost related then why do they not replace the Typhoon with the Aircraft in the first two pictures? It's probably cheaper than a jet and more economical and environmentally friendly. Also what aircraft type is that?...
