Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Mark i completely agree with everything you have said, and thats all i was trying to say, the tattoo is meant to be the biggest military air show in the world where you see all the unique stuff you wouldn't normally see at an air show, so by putting up 5 f16's for displays gets a bit same old, i lo...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Surely the worlds best airshow should have a max limit of 2 displays of the same type (including display teams) on any given day while we still have the variation of aircraft that could potentially fill the display slots? Mark, The problem with that is you would seriously hack off some countries. A...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Then don't go if you don't like it. Don't moan that you pay "RIAT fees" for rarities not fillers. EVERY show has fillers, like Motorsport has filler events before the main event. It's not just as simple as getting the Greek's and Turk's because you want them, considering the age of them too. Agree ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Completely agree with Gary on the F-16 front. The F-16 is the primary fighter aircraft of Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Holland, Norway, Portugal and Turkey in Europe - would the naysayers rather these nations didn't turn up at all? Well Greece and Turkey can send the F4 instead for a start. That would...

The 85mm is in another forum Mark Iv just been asked to take some shots of it have to be quick if you want it. Rob. Thanks Rob, as much as it would be a great addition to my gig photography arsenal, things are a little tight financially and the Missus would probably have my dangly's for ear rings i...

Popped up earlier on Facebook (on RIAT Nutters  ) , the bloke who designed the patches for the Ukrainian Flacker airshow participation last year RIAT/ BAFD etc. Has produced another one this year for RIAT :ninja: His post appears to have been deleted since Let's hope for a couple of different ...

Re: Shoreham Incident

I guess at the end of the day it was a tragic accident, but I would think twice about attending a future airshow that Mr Hill was displaying at. I was on the Pier at Southport in 2013 and it was indeed a butt twitching experience!!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Bit disappointed that the Belgian F16 is only flying Friday & Saturday as I am going Sunday. It's a good job I'm going to Yeovilton the previous weekend where it is booked in to display. I am not 100% but I am sure I read some place that the reason it's only doing Friday and Saturday is due to the ...

Re: First time RIAT group thread?

I have a 7D mkII. I shall be sticking it on AV mode and leaving it on F8 initially, just hope its going to be a nice summer so the shutter speed stays nice and fast. May up the ISO or use Exposure Comp to get the shutter speed up where I want it.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Completely agree there mate! It’s just a cheap excuse for me people to moan and slag off the show...whilst still paying to attend. :S  Ah, but most of us pay to attend way before the Thursday updates start. Seeing announcements for Seaside Airshow acts is just a wind up, I can see those at Sou...
