Agree with you Andy well said I’ve been spotting over 40years now at. Sculthorpe,Marham, Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Never had any issues with ladders as there were very few in the early days Now they are everywhere and some spotters don’t care if they Block you out as long as they get there photos and ...

As from Monday Waddington Tower freq changes to 378.500 and Director to 256.675 till the 19th Sept. as per Notam issued.

There is a Notam for Kinloss A/D closed due to runway resurfacing from 30/8 to 27/11/19 so looks like no typhoons till after that date.

I had a great tour around the base in the late 70s when I went for a job interview in there big hangars on the far side of the airfield where there containers from the states arrive had to drive to them giving way to the F-111s great 4hours flight-line side
And I got the job.

60-0034 is a replacement for the b-52 that burnt out at Guam ,the other B-52 that came out of the boneyard the other year was a replacement for the B-52 that had an electrical fire in the states this brings the total up to 76 the max allowed under the treaty.

Nothing about Alconbury which is used as housing for Molesworth.

Hawk T1 training

Due to a shortage of pilot training aircraft the RAF is bringing back the Hawk T1 use as training aircraft 600 hrs per year has been allocated to 100 Sqn to train new pilots At leeming,Not sure if this is for one year or longer.

There still not cleared to fly harness issues from what I understand the whole training issue is a mess between them and the phenom aircraft at Cranwell ,all muti engine training now with L3 at Bournemouth.

I’ve heard today the reason none have been flying is that there MTC has not been released yet,anybody else heard the same.
Sounds like the delays we had when the first arc-135s arrived.

They do comes out of the us defence budget via the M.O.D.who deal with contracting work, The base is M.o.d.land leased to the U.S.

RAF wittering ,the only RAF bomb disposal unit at wittering is to disband by April 2020 the army taking over its role all personnel
Will be re deployed to other raf jobs.

The RAF aircraft were not grounded , The f35s used for carrier tests were flying and still are from the Q.E. Checks were carried out on all aircraft as I posted in a previous post what the M.O.D. Posted on twitter they are not grounded. do wish people would read

The press are crap never get things right they are not grounded flying today from the queen liz in 50 knot winds ,yes the planes have been checked over as have the ones at Marham but the M .O. D. Were very clear in a statement both on twitter and forces news. Its all about selling papers they always...

M.O.D.have confirmed the F-35s have not been grounded contrary to reports the F-35 continues to fly from the Q E. and are monitoring the results from the Marine corps crash .
