From DIO Castlemartin - the range is active this week 11th September onwards. French Rafale aircraft are cooperating with British Army ground units. The aircraft so far have all been pairs. This does seem to be an annual event. 2014,2015,2016 all had the French buzzing around for a couple of weeks. Checked the dates from previous years and they all show as beginning around the 2nd week of July. So it's hopefull that this year the pattern will be repeated. Weather last year wasn't so go...

Castlemartin Activation

NOTAMS are showing Castlemartin restricted airspace is to be activated from Monday July 10th. In previous years the 2nd week of July has seen French Rafales operating daily on the range. Is this a heads-up they might be returning?
