Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
Had a great day Friday... was last at RIAT 3/4 years ago.. much more variety this time round. Yeah the cancellations and rain was pants, but got to see lot I've never seen before, so I was still impressed.. French Navy Rafale duo, Swiss F-18 and the Sukoi were top for me.. bit of an observation, an...

Re: Airday 2018
I thoroughly Enjoyed it, would agree with the fencing off the of the Static, Did anyone else hear the Danish Pilot get a telling off for going to close to the Display line. (made some great photos tho) Didn’t hear it but I was down the far end near the on-site parking area and when he came in I loo...

Re: Yeovilton Air Day Arrivals 2015
Should be 3x Rafales and 3x SuperE's in total so guess the second lot in will be 1x SuperE and 2x Rafale's.BrizeWatcher wrote:Great to hear that they have arrived, any idea where the other two Rafales are?Malcolm wrote:15:38 2 x SuperE's and 1xRafale visual OTT Yeovil.

Re: F-35 coming to RIAT / Farnborough
If they manage to set off over the weekend (and that's a big IF) I think the best we can hope for is a flyby as they arrive, they will need 48 hours downtime for maintenance and then they will need to validate their display so while there is still a chance of them displaying at Farnborough there is ...

Re: F-35 coming to RIAT / Farnborough
There does seem to be comments going around that they have been green lit and will be departing tomorrow once the RAF F-35B has joined the USMC one's.
I am going to hold off celebrating until I see a pic/vid of them landing at Fairford as plenty can still happen to prevent them arriving.

Re: RIAT 2014 Frequencies - arrivals - departures
If the F-35s do end up cancelling I doubt anything to take their slot, after all the show has already been extended to accommodate the number of displays so I expect they will just end at 5:45pm instead of 6pm.
