Re: Headsup posts are becoming to cryptic
I am really struggling to understand a lot of the headsup posts in the last few months. Classic examples include missing out the aircraft type and talking about things without any context even if I look elsewhere in the topic suc as an example that sparked me to write this - 'it will be interesting...

Re: Dunkeswell and Portland.
Puddy Boy missed this one I don't know what your problem is with (presumably) "Paddy Boy" or Patrick, but this is the second time this week you have had a dig at him, albeit that your first post was deleted. Patrick frequently comments on most photo posts to show his appreciation for the time the p...

Museums where you can actually sit and touch things
Hi all, The eldest is at an age where they want to see things up close (planes, helo's, anything that moves) ... we ruined them a bit by bringing them to the likes of Bournemouth Aviation museum a few times, where you can pretty much sit in and touch everything, so the likes of Middle Wallaop's muse...

Re: Countdown to Looking Glass
During the Cold War, General Horrocks wrote a book titled 'World War 3'. In it he predicted that it would start in the Middle East. Looks like he wasn't wrong! So did Nostradamus. Who'd have thought majors wars would occur in a mineral rich, trade centric area of the world where everyone through th...

Re: Fly in a Spitfire UK?
not done it, but, I've seen it do runs from Lee-On-Solent.... which is a nice area to fly around... also, May onwards, the water is very much comfortably swimmable if you're making a weekend out of it, with Pompey and Southampton close by with lots of military attractions. https://www.spitfires.com/...

1 x U-2 spyplane
Long, black (calm down ladies), last seen leaving UK airspace >FL500.
Been away a few days so just catching up on threads, is this still "missing"? Or did it end up in Poland?
Missed the B-2 too, picked a good week to take a break from the internet

Re: JFK - 60 years on
I was at a BB meeting that night and about 1930 one of our officers calmly said JFK had been shot dead. Have always wondered how in the days before instant coms did he know .Apparently it was about 1900ish it happened and no one had entered the building.Even more weird is that I have been at variou...
