Howler 22 had an unsafe gear indication. Declared an IFE following the low approach to get a visual inspection of the gear from the ground. After landing they elected to vacate the active and have the gear pinned prior to taxi.

Isn’t that the same bird that had bits of a canopy come off during flight at EAA couple weeks ago? There was an L-39 that lost its canopy on take off at Air Venture. There was an L-39 that lost its canopy on take off at Air Venture.

It was announced over the PA system that the merchandise 'tents' at the entrance points were not put up due to the high winds.

Zero breakthrough for me also, had the scanner on from 0800 through till 1700 when FRIAT closed

I've got Fairford Ground as 121.175 (can't remember if that equates to actual frequency of 121.180). Fairly sure RIAT tend towards VHF where possible
