A rather chilly Lakenheath...

I braved a rather chilly RAF Lakenheath on Friday, with the temp registering a rather cold -6c by the forest entrance... Re: Camera Recommendations for under £500

Bit late to this, but I have a Canon 70d and a Canon 70-200 F/4L lens that I am thinking of selling - would be looking for £550 for the pair.

Shutter count on the body is approx 50-60k - I can check later for a definitive number if interested.

JAKE11 - 17th March 2022

Not 100% you could class an airframe built in 1962 as modern military  , but here's a few shots of the US Rivet Joint, 62-4130, at Mildenhall, after returning from a mission over Eastern Europe. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51944601858_57daa3f399_h.jpg 62-4130 Boeing RC-135W Rivet Join...

Lakenheath, Vermont style... 27/4/2021

Couple of the Vermont F-35A's arriving at Lakenheath on 27/4/2021. Such a shame that the weather changed from the bright sunny morning, to the drab overcast, rainy evening that welcomed them to England! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51145680894_d530344968_b.jpg Lakenheath-Apr27th2021-1683 by D...

That is poor... very poor.

So disappointed that with the 100th anniversary that the horrible coporate logo, and this attempt is the best they can come up with...

Lakenheath Base Tour - 21st July

I was lucky enough to bag a place on a tour of Lakenheath last Friday. Unfortunately all of the flying was over and done with by about 10:30 in the morning, before we we were on base. Even so it was still great to get on base, and see it from the inside!! First off, some of the movements in the morn...

Re: Red Bull Cobra down

Something tells me that is going to need more than a can of Red Bull to give it it's wings back...

Seriously, the pilot is a lucky man to have walked away from that by the looks of things. (However I do think he'll have to questions to answer as to how he came to be so close etc).
