Re: Another Farnes Photo thread

Amazing photos - the farnes is such a lovely place. Have to say most of the time I visit i spend the day underwater - very different perspective especially in autumn when you can sit on the seabed and play with seals!

Hawk T1

Drove past Cranwell yesterday evening and there was a Hawk T1 on the flight line - looked like the 208 Sqn 100th anniversary special jet but was hard to tell in the evening light. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,
Dan

Do you think this will be a regular replacement for the Turkish herc that normally passes through?

RAF Fairford - Friday the 13th

Myself and the brother took a trip over to Fairford on Friday in the hopes of seeing the B-2's and B-52's fly. Unfortunately the BUFF's didn't play ball but luckily two B-2 missions made the journey worthwhile. Hopefully everyone isn't getting bored of B-2 shots by now  As we arrived a coupl...

Seems unlikely - the second B-2 returned from its mission around 7:40 pm to Fairford. See: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=99103

Superb Shuttleworth 06/07/2013

Spent a very enjoyable evening at Shuttleworth yesterday for their evening air display. The weather was perfect and the flying superb. Didn't intend to take many photos but I couldn't resist with a few items. Just a few to start with, might put a few more on later. Sea Hurricane taking off at start ...

E-4B departs Mildenhall

AKA My first night shoot! After a warm but hazy day in Ely decided to head down to Mildenhall to catch the E-4B depart around 20:00. The hope was that the clouds would part sufficiently to get a bit of late evening sunshine and a Runway 11 departure. Unfortunately neither of these things happened, a...

Trout 99 at the Hall

Myself and Ben headed down the Mildenhall at the ridiculous time of 6:00 AM this morning in order not to miss Trout 99 depart at the ETD of 07:00. For once the timing was spot on and the light was fantastic. Ben has covered it pretty well with his stunning (as usual) photos but thought I should put ...

Yes mate. Saw Podge's update when it came in. Awesome piece of kit with 'proper' engines! :D I caught it in May when it was in last, so i didnt rush over for it today. If you catch it leaving, i warn you its LOUD! :P Especially when they use the under run on 11. Think my ears where ringing for the ...

Re: Chinese Carrier images

From our recent module on Marine Environmental Tech at uni it fits very closely to the concepts for the majority of future vessels. Multiple hulls are used to increase stability and reduce drag and thereby decrease fuel consumption, and are included in the majority of designs for large future ships....
