Re: Future of the Fairford deployment section
You've hit the nail on the head, trouble is I can't see an easy solution without people showing restraint. The few active staff can't always be online to monitor and by the time one gets online and do something, all hell can have broken loose. My personal circumstance working nights mean from 06.30...

Coningsby Update
Hey all, Having spent the week in the Coningsby area I have a couple of updates for you: 1. Currently parking is NOT possible at crash gate 1. The grass areas are currently unavailable and there is an additional (second) entrance to the base there at the moment. 2. Having had a normal day at Conings...

Re: Environment
According to the BBC the environmental footprint of the makeup and fashion industry is considerably larger than all "road and air travel" combined, and that the majority of these industries are for 50% of the people i.e. women.

No deployments of TSR-2
Sadly I can confirm that just as there are no USAF B-1 deployments to Fairford at the moment, there will be no deployments of the British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2 to the base either this year. The RAF said that "they were deeply saddened that the planned deployment would not now go ahead" and that...

Re: Greta Thunberg?
Nighthawke!. The F. 1 fraternity is very well aware of their perceived damage by their activities. There is constant research by the teams in order to make cars more efficient, and, if you care to research it yourself, you will find that many developements brought about by motorsport are being inco...

Re: Greta Thunberg?
Lewis Hamilton sold his aircraft several months ago. Do keep up. :) What he does on track gives a great many people, including me [a life-long follower of motor racing] a great deal of pleasure, and we should take pride in the fact that he is so good at what he does. I couldn't care less what he do...

I'll happily go vegan..... once I've won the Formula 1 World Champion title 6 times, and have as much money as he does...and as long as he sells his private jet and always travels on standard flights from now on.

I had a quick look at Prime and it appeared that all the photos I uploaded went into a single "pool" and that I couldn't split it by directory?

Perhaps gmc007 would like to impress and inspire us all with a breakdown of the measures he/she employs to protect the environment rather than just making smug put downs?

Re: Greta Thunberg?
Delaying a commercial airliner actually does less than NOTHING to stop damage to the climate - in actual fact it causes extra damage in that the plane will have used extra fuel on the ground whilst this farce went on. Breaking the law is not justified either, and it is unacceptable for protesters to...

Wonder why the NOTAM? I, along with others I am sure, watch this topic to increase the chances of getting to see the Buffs during their deployment. Every time someone posts, I get an email and have to pause work, log back into the forum and check the latest news. It is always a massive disappointme...
