Re: RAF Museum Hendon hangar closures
Really? I was also there yesterday (Tuesday 13th May) for a brief visit around lunchtime, only had time to look around hangars 3 and 4 (or whatever the Belfast Truss hangars are numbered) and there was full, unimpeded access throughout.

What a fantastic aircraft collection and great photos too!
Another addendum though - the 'Mi-14' is a Mi-4!

Re: Fighter:The Movie
Yes it is subtitled, had to check with the cinema myself Thanks for that information! I found the movie highly entertaining - an action-packed emotional rollercoaster strangely interrupted by catchy glamourous music videos featuring the same characters and an unexpected interval of about 10 minutes(...

I am considering seeing it but would like confirmation that this Hindi language movie will be subtitled in English.

Anyone else disappointed this isn't about a 1960s Cessna A-37 Dragonfly modified with state of the art Electronic Warfare equipment?

Can anyone help identify the Spitfire that flew over Arundel at around 1300 on Thursday 28 July 2022?

I would expect the Red Arrows to be the last in the formation so that no other aircraft has to fly through their smoke?

Chinook - Hendon 24/03/22
A RAF Chinook flew low or perhaps even landed and took off from the RAF Museum Hendon on Thursday 24th March 2022. ADSB showed it came from and landed back at RAF Benson and the callsign was SHF282. Can the identity from ADSB 'ZD575' be believed / can anyone confirm its identity?

If you count a fatally 'unsuccessful' 'mission' with stops, how about 9th September to 1st October 1956 round-the-World Vulcan flight (but XA897 crashed on landing at Heathrow)?

You're very welcome, I enjoyed finding that Skyhawk site too! One last candidate for you - As of 29 August 1989, Bu No 149656 was a (very) dark green Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) A-4E: https://skyhawk.org/sites/default/files/images-buno-14 9647-150600/149656o.jpg https://www.airh...

Re: St Augustine, FL, Green A-4, 1989
Yes, I can't think of any operator other than RNZAF that had all green Skyhawks, but if it was green camo or even primer, I was speculating that it could have been one of the 88 bought by Malaysia but NOT delivered (40/88 delivered according to that link I found).

All green sounds like New Zealand?
Malaysian Skyhawks were prepared at St Augustine, could it be one of those that was not delivered? https://skyhawk.org/article/douglas-a4- ... story#mala

This website is a great record of F-16 (only) tailcodes:

Re: RAF Scampton Heritage Centre (large post)
It's a fascinating place, thank you for sharing the photos.
I visited in 2018 and noted three WW1 (presumably) replicas - DH2, Rumpler C.VII and Sopwith Camel.
Also, a Chipmunk cockpit section (from WG477).
Can anyone identify that bare metal Canberra cockpit section?
