Re: NOTAM 26/08/2019

Had visual with the tanker over Newcastle. Sounded like at least one B-2 was trailing a minute or so behind.

Re: NOTAM 26/08/2019

From @ScotlandDX on Twitter: Death 11 is tail no 82-1068 and Death 12 is 82-0129

Edit: removed names to reduce confusion. 82-0129 should be 89-0129.

Daks over Duxford 4/5th June 2019

First photo upload on here so probably done something wrong :P A few of my photos from the Daks over Duxford event on the 4th and 5th June 2019. My main aim is to upload one of every Dakota, but I've included a few extras at the end: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48014410356_97d758ef10_b.jpg C...

Thanks for info, are there any places outside that are ok to view from,i have looked at thunder and lightnings and piont a looks good, will there be restrictions around the airfield? I very much doubt you’ll be able to view from the outside because of road closures and restrictions. But it’s only £...

Thanks for that Mark, do we have a list of the 24 DC-3s at Caen, or are they the same aircraft that you have listed? :)
It’ll be the same list. The only differences are ZA947 is exclusive to Duxford and PH-PBA is exclusive to Caen.

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

Drag em oot isn't going to Duxford as far as I'm aware, they are doing their own thing The organisers have said a there will be aircraft departing on the 4th to do their own drops in France before returning. So although I agree it is unlikely, it is still possible for her to be there. (Updated list)

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

I’ve got a reply off the organisers on Facebook, they are expecting 12 of the 14 European Daks to attend . What is also worth noting regarding Duxford: - They say a few aircraft will leave Duxford on the 4th June to do drops at Carentan, before returning for the cross-channel flight in the 5th. - On...

AIRCRAFT POSITIONS REPORT – 25/05 I put all of this together using Flightaware, Flightradar24 and social media posts to get an accurate overview of the current situation. This is all the U.S. Dakotas listed on the Daks over Normandy website. Currently it looks like only 15 of the U.S. based Dakotas...

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

One extra arrival at PIK for yesterday: N62CC - arr PIK 24/05. N24320 - still not venturing across the pond but has moved NW to Iqaluit today 25/05. N150D is (according to FR24) scheduled to fly East to Syracuse (SYR) today. That's all I can find - IMHO N341A seems to be leaving it rather late, ass...

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

Thanks Mark I stand corrected - the final US total is indeed 15 (assuming they all make it). The very last two I missed are N150D and N341A. In my defence, neither have made a move towards the UK as yet. Both are part of the Mighty Fifteen as featured here: http://ddaysquadron.org/the-mighty-fiftee...

Quick question will the other dokotas that are at Prestwick continue there journey down to duxford this week.
12 of them (maybe 11 excluding Clipper Tabitha May) will stay at Prestwick for the events there this weekend. Then they should depart to Duxford on the 2nd/ 3rd June.
