That's another real beauty Paul. I don't recall ever seeing that scheme before, thanks for posting.

Can anyone help with serials of the 2 Texans that were refuelling here around midday please? The heat haze was too strong by the time I arrived.

Thinking of calling in tomorrow afternoon. Can anyone please advise whether the two USMC Hercs are still present on TDY?

Re: Revell 1/32 Alouette II

Very nice indeed Paul. You even managed to get the rotor blades to droop, which is something I always struggled with. Did it build like that out of the box or do you have a tip you're willing to share?

Re: Northolt Nightshoot Updated 'best dressed pilot'

Excellent photos. I particularly like the Bell 47H, a type I don't think I've ever seen before, let alone in the UK. One small correction, the pilot's name is Rich Pillans, not Pillars. I've had the pleasure of flying with him in a different Bell 47 and he doesn't just look the part, he's a true gent!

Now you're talking! That's a great result Paul, and of a very different subject. Any idea of the significance of the '48' on the nose?

Re: RAF Chivenor, August 1974

Thanks for this Jaws. I saw 3 Harriers on the 17th including a two-seater, so XV752 was almost certainly one of them. As for the T-33, my recognition has always been pretty good so I'm loathe to admit yet that I got it wrong. Time will tell - hopefully.

RAF Chivenor, August 1974

A long shot, but here goes... On 17th August 1974 I was lucky enough to get (unofficial) access to the flightline at Chivenor. There had been some sort of event a couple of days previously - I can't recall what it was about but might have been connected with the Singapore AF training pipeline that w...

Re: Testors 1/32 HH-43B

Spot on Paul, another great build. Saw a couple of operational examples on an Air Cadet visit to Alconbury back in the mid 70s. Always thought they were an amazing looking contraption but wouldn't have wanted to fly in one!
