Carlisle 11th Apr
Back down today, and it all appeared to be over. Only a Merlin with tech snag there at 8.30. A Lynx dropped in for fuel. Then the Oskosh's pulled in their hoses. I headed up to Spade but there was nothing going on, and no spotters, so headed back to Carlisle. By the time I got back two if the Oskosh...

Carlisle 10 Apr
Spent the day at Carlisle hoping for some JW Heli action. Only the 3 Military movements. For the number crunchers, reggies are, ZG884, ZG886 and ZJ221 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v382/toom317/Car410-02_zps119f27c9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v382/toom317/Car410-01_zps5c99b3bd.jpg htt...

Re: Joint Warrior 14-01
Poison, your Apache was ZJ221 and the Lynx was ZG886. I spent most of the day at Carlisle and the only other military movement was Lynx ZG884. I had two Chinooks go over me at 5.25ish North of Longtown on my way home. There appeared to be some activity at Spade, and I suspect that there may be a FAR...

Was there any JW Heli action during the day, and are the Oskosh refuellers there?

For a brief moment, I saw two tails, and thought that was a Hornet in your last pic. The weather looks grim, well done for giving it a go.

Re: Action at Carlisle commencing 3rd April, 2013.
Nice one Duane It has been very quiet at the usual locations in our area, for JW14-1, and the weather has rather spoilt the chances to get further afield. Looks like the Kinloss assault will be in poor weather now. I'd hate to be a grunt on this exercise, they must be sick of the rain by now.

Sensor cleaning.
Last year I bought a canon 600d, after using a 350d for about 5 years. I regularly cleaned the sensor, and also if I got dust spots. The 600d has a self cleaning function. Do any of you guys with self cleaning sensors, still get dust spots, and is it still safe to clean sensors? I haven't got any du...

Re: Joint Warrior 141
Just had a thought, with an Army unit now based at Kinloss, maybe we'll see some more of these assaults at Kinloss, as there is a pretty sizeable defending force available.

Re: 3/4/2014
Hi Michael, it's been very disappointing for the spotters in the Border area, with little or no activity at the usual locations. The weather hasn't really helped either. I was considering going to the Kirkcubright area, over the weekend, but it looks like rain, rain and more rain. There was talk of ...

Weather looks rank, so well done for getting some decent images. Nice to see the 12 spesh is flying. Hopefully it will be captured low level at sometime.

Re: 29 Sqn Typhoon Display Paint Scheme
Tail is OK and continuing along the spine would have been nice. Canards look awful. At least they made the effort to do a special display scheme though, which is a positive step.
