The Chinook is possibly ZK560, it's been in the USA for some time now on trials (and my last one!🤬)

Today's sortie was 15-10 til 18-25 is it likely to be these times all week? Thanks
Going by the opening times for the airfield it looks that way. Bar Friday where it might be morning/lunchtime possibly.

Common Callsigns in use for Mildenhall based Aircraft as of 14/02/25.

Hello All, below I’ve listed the most commonly used call signs used by the 100ARW/352SOW. Obviously there are others that especially the SOG use but they are only used infrequently and on deployments. Any additions welcome. 100th Aerial Refuelling Wing (KC135R/Ts) -QUID/LAGER/HOBO/RAKE/EVAC10E_(usua...

Re: Taxiway charlie for fighters only

Thanks SniperElite, didn't realise it was at Mildenhall, I've missed or forgot its departure from Lakenheath He departed Lakenheath around 10:30 on 30/01/25 on a short Airtest before landing at Mildenhall, there should be another delivery in March and this should tag onto them. I believe Lakenheath...

Re: Taxiway charlie for fighters only

Only shut due to the straggler Qatari F15 parked on the Charlie North Ramp blocking it for anything larger than a fighter. Should be due off in March.

The based 135 not long back from PDM at Tinker, they all arrive back in unmarked AMC markings. Should be marked up soon. Nice catch with the UC35

Re: RAF Mildenhall Based Aircraft list as of 18/08/24

Rumour on the fence yesterday that 00333 came back with AMC on the tail, rather than USAFE. Couldn't find it to check for myself. Should appreciate confirmation. Also, is it permitted to report aircrew names, as painted under the cockpit? I know that 100 proof has the CO's name and he is on the bas...

Does anyone know when KC-135T 59-1470 became "High Life". Noted yesterday (16th August) as such.
It was painted up after the Team Mildenhall Heritage Day on the 16th I believe. It should have hogh life nose arts on both sides now too.

Re: RQ-4B - FORTE 16

If I'm correct the GF on the tail is Grand Forks? Which if this is the case it belongs to the 348RS/319RW. I remember the nostalgia of seeing Grand Forkes KC135s at Mildenhall on a fairly regular basis. Nice shots by the way 👍

To update the post, 09-5713 MC130J is no longer with the 352SOW and 59-1470 has now become 'High Life' and sports a second nose art on the right side of the Airframe, unveiled yesterday.

Re: RAF Mildenhall Based Aircraft list as of 22/06/24

I believe it was in the same week as the on Base do yesterday. 60-0333 which was high life is due back from Tinker and I think that should have the 'Skipper III' nose art applied

Re: On Base do 16/08/24

Slight change of plan, for one reason or another Sally B has cancelled static appearance tomorrow but will instead do a fly past around 12pm. Should be a small selection of 'classic' aircraft due in between 08:00-09:00.

On Base do 16/08/24

Friday should see a few interesting visitors in for Team Mildenhall Heritage Day. The do lasts between 0900-1700BST & will include the likes 'Sally B' (B17G). Only thing I'm unsure of at this time is whether the static participants will arrive on the 16th or on the 15th. Will be taking place at Hang...

Re: RAF Mildenhall Based Aircraft list as of 22/06/24

Am I right in thinking in light of the above, that the designated number of KC135's based at Mildenhall has increased from 15 to 17? Also that the number of MC130J's has gone up to 7 from 6? More often than not Mildenhall will have 15 135s out of the 17 due to couple being away in the states (on re...
