not too early in the 892 RN Phantom era either as the Phantom has the modified tail ( RWR ? ) at its tip - so circa 1975 onwards

One of my memories from this event on 12th May 1989 was Gazelle ZA774 coming in from Northern Ireland with a heli telly ball fitted and being pushed into a hangar ( EW hangar I think ) - a quality visitor on the day.

A-281 was in the UK as a Grasshopper in 1981 - however the Grasshoppers were regulars on the UK airshow scene for many years so would have been a frequent visitor. Yes. As you know not everything shows on ping radar.
