Thanks

Drones over Coningsby

At approx 9.30am this morning,(Sunday) what appeared to be 2 reasonably sized drones came from the direction of Woodhall Spa and flew over the airfield parallel to the runway.
Anyone see them or know what their purpose was ?

Thanks

Re: LOG Coningsby 17/6

Hello Neil

photographed 358 (with 369 and 383 on the ramp yesterday (Wed 17th)) and 358 and 383 were devoid of markings. Unfortunately didn't take a photo of the other 3 on that ramp (am assuming for 12 Sqn) but all were unmarked except 369.

Hope this helps

Re: The mound

I know the farmer and I have spoken to him about the mound. From time to time he will remove some soil as he requires it, and this has been the recent case. Over time, unless he gets more soil, this practice will continue as and when and so ultimately it will disappear - but he has no plans to remov...

Jet low-level over Boston area

Anyone any ideas on low-level jet heading North(ish) at approx. 5.30pm today near Boston. Couldn't find anything on either Military or Civil radar tracking sites.

Thanks

Re: QBF

Perhaps not much use - but the Merlin was coded AL and the Chinook AK - maybe you can establish serials from that info (unless you already knew them in which case apologies) - sorry no chance with the Pumas

Considerate Parking - Runway 07 (BBMF) end

Like many military bases Coningsby gives good access to Spotters due to the good favour of local Landowners. I have been asked to post some frustrations suffered by these, namely the parking on the track leading to the landing lights and in front of the gate leading to a concrete storage area, which...

Re: 216 Squadron disbanded

With regard to any Tristar Flypasts, has anyone got any definitive details (where and when), and should it be happening would a NOTAM be required

Thanks

Tristar Final Flypast

I have noted a few references to a possible Flypast of Tristars on Monday 24 March before delivery to Bruntingthorpe the next day. There doesn't seem to be a NOTAM in place. Does anyone have some actual information on what might be occurring and when.

Thanks

Re: Opinions requested

There seems to be a majority wanting the daytime event, however there is interest in a night shoot. A night shoot/sunset shots in June is impractical. Therefore I suggest two separate events. As the Families Day takes place every two years it makes logistical sense to have an Enthusiast's Day linked...
