Re: Yorknight 2020
In November, four seasons in 1 hour! Last year the sorties were just over an hour, and you can practise on the Hawks and Grobs while you are waiting. Please park sensibly if you're not in the viewing area the locals are not amused when they can't access their homes and businesses.

Re: Last hurrah at Mildenhall for 2019
Good shots there, thanks for posting. As for prop blur on an Osprey.......I spent a whole day up at Leeming, and found that if you slow enough on shutter speed <1/60,with my shaky hands, everything else is blurred as well! Roll on the New Year and I must try harder...as my school reports said...

Re: Last Day at Linton 6/8/19 ?
Nice piece,Rhubarb.Linton is a good place to be on a decent day.The Lightnings are quite frequent visitors doing their PD's,on the right day, when they're using 03 straight over my house!According to unsubstantiated rumours-we might be losing the Tucs but gaining some interesting visitors. And for the...

Leeming Helos
Nobody seems to put anything on showing the recent stuff from Leeming,so here is a selection of badly lit,out of focus and wrongly exposed shots.I'm trying-very as my teachers said. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47865155571_7714b6555d_b.jpg Apache by Arthur Heaton , on Flickr https://live.stat...

The Cobham aircraft do range training for the RAF.Apparently the red lights on the 100squdron Hawks from Leeming indicate they've been "hit".

Re: How busy is an average day?
Not to mention the visitors-recently we've had Typhoons ,Tornados and F35s,not to mention the Irish P6s.However nothing is guaranteed, apart from the Tucs-they do make for good practise photographing prop aircraft though.

Re: Leeming Veiwing Car Park
I don't often post on here but
1) respect the local residents
2)It's the MOD'S land: they control access
3)It could be nothing to do with airfield activity
BEST -check the NOTAM's for Leeming and see if there is parachute activity planned.....nearly always closed when this is happening.
