Brize Norton this weekend
Has anybody got any idea what is happening at Brize this weekend. There is a major motorcycle meeting planned in close proximity to the base this weekend with the racing taking place Sunday 30th. The organisers have had to work very closely and had restriction put on them by the MOD because of movem...

Somerset Aerofest July 29th - 30th
Somerset Aerofast a small show held at Middlezoy Airfield, Somerset. Because of the lack of a Yeovilton Airday this year Navy Wings are working with the organisers of the Somerset Airfest to have a presence at this event both static and hopefully flying. As well as this event they normally hold a WW...
Air Day
Just read in a local news site, due to commercial reasons and maintenance work on the airfield it is looking like the Air Day will not be back 2028.

Re: Air Day 2023
I am surprised with obviously the expert staff that AHA had that somebody within the firm hasn't taking up the mantle and started a new business of their own running events hopefully to include future airshows.

Re: Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival 2022
Great set of pictures, although I live in Bridgwater due to other commitments missed Saturday's parade but hope to get to Shepton next Wednesday. Just a technical query did you use flash on these pictures, because there is such a light difference between the really bright lit areas and other parts o...

Re: Wildcats over M5 Bridgwater, Fri 7th October
Don't know any of the numbers, but I live on the edge of Bridgwater not that far from the M5 and we often get Wildcats flying over. Some really high but others a little bit lower.
Such a frequent sight I never take much notice of them.

Re: Hanging Out in Aldeburgh
Nice set of shots, I like most of them apart from the single boat shot. Too much sky for my liking, would have preferred shot from a lower angle and the boat being more of a main subject (my opinion only).

Re: The Ukraine Situation
Isn't strange in 1939 we waged war against a far-right Nazi power and with the help of our Russian allies we overcame them in 1945. How the tables have turned we are now supporting a far-right governed country with learnings towards Nazism fighting against our old allies who helped us stamp out Nazi...

Re: The Ukraine Situation
The thing that is prolonging the war in Ukraine is all the aid and weapons being pumped into there from the west. The west should have not interfered in the first place going right back to the uprising in 2014 when a western backed coup deposed the duly elected pro-Russian government. I thought by n...

Great shot, funnily enough I seem to have a lot of shots of this aircraft from this years RIAT as well. But not quite as good as yours.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread
I whole heartily agree with all the good comments about the RJF I always enjoy their display and since their new livery they make some great photos.
As other people have said it makes a colourful change from all those drab grey fast jets however exciting their actual flying is.
