Have you checked the AF microadjustment? Plenty of info on internet, well worth checking

Are you using all focus points or just the centre point? If the latter you only have to 'wander' off-centre a little with the image to get poor focus.

They are excellent shots. Both my teenage daughters who hardly ever take photos are also very good, like to think it's Dads tuition

Hi all, I currently have a 7D & 450D plus 10-22mm Canon, 50mm 1.8 Canon prime, Tamron SP 70 - 300mm and Kenko Pro 300 1.4 teleconverter. So my question is which zoom lens would suit me to 'fill in' between the 10 -22 and 70 - 300mm? I'm thinking about 17 - 85mm, but there are, obviously other option...
