Very nice shots of a classic aircraft, have fond memories of ‘swingers’ on Colt approach and at Lakenheath, thanks for posting these.

Toulouse museums

Always enjoy a visit to a French museum so while on a city break to Toulouse last month I took the opportunity to visit both Aeroscopia and Ailes Anciennes at Blagnac, adjacent to the airport. Neither great for photo's as a bit crowded for space and tightly packed but nevertheless both well worth a ...

There is a professional football team in N Ireland named Crusaders , based in north Belfast, guess they will have to rename themselves should a single person be offended .

Re: Euro 2024

Do we want an English coach or a winner? Are they mutually exclusive as they seem to be! Outside of the major tournaments does anyone really care - football supporters first allegiance is too their club - Man Utd fans had a chant, can't remember how it went of Utd over England. Not one English coac...

Re: Euro 2024

The best team by far in the tournament deserved to win yesterday, England were in the final by skin of their teeth and apart from the semi-final never really got going having to dig deep to gain victory. I have always believed we would not win any tournament while Gareth Southgate is England manager...

Aussie museums

Visited during February 2024 while in Australia 3 museums. The first at Caboolture Warplane museum in Queensland, arrived just as they were closing but managed to get access to the F111C cockpit , Winjeel and UH1, they have some warbirds here as well which did not see. The Caribou on the airfield wa...

Williamtown Feb 2024

Visited here back in 2017 and as was in Australia again last month thought would visit again to catch up with some of the local F35's. Pretty good for spotting, if you visit the excellent Fighterworld Museum (20 AUS dollars) adjacent to the airfield there is a viewing platform which the locals use f...

Re: RAF CONINGSBY 21-10-1985

Love these posts of the good old days of the 1980's, so much variety and on a regular basis. Attended many of these exercises but not on this date for some reason, needed J-625 and J-626 which were both written off 1988 and 1986 respectively. Really appreciate you sharing these memories with us.
