If you can get onto the A10 to Royston, the A505 takes you there. Otherwise there are a few back roads.

The past few times I've been at the Nook, there seems to be an increasing number of cars parked in the adjacent field (accessed just off Hurdle Drove).
Is this people just chancing it to avoid paying a few quid, or is this an allowed spot to use?
