Re: Which ATC Squadron are/were you a member of?

398 Sqn Egham & Staines, though have to say I didn't last long there, as I was not inclined to dicipline, still remember going up in a Chippie from Abingdon, I really do need to find that blue book they gave you that will have details of that flight written in it.

Re: Old Tie ups

I logged 130329 at Gatwick on 29 October 1976. As I was working there at the time, I suspect this was first visit. Thanks, so I assume it was still there the next day being a Saturday? Very unlikely they were nearly always on a QT, Generally in and out to Lahr. Hmm That scubs my thoughts then, reas...

Re: Old Tie ups

CAF Herc and Cosmopolitans were regular visitors to Gatwick at that time so I'd imagine 130329 would have visited several times. I logged it myself at Gatwick a little later on 7.4.80 - it was w/o in 1982 The BT Eagle displayed at Middle Wallop on 24.7.82, yellow tip The Danish F-16 was at Brawdy 2...

and one which I defiately saw Gatwick in either 76 or 77

Re: Indian AF to UK maybe !!!!

Yes I should have thought about that before posting the question, however I have seen posts, if memory serves towards the begining of the year and this week, maybe if it is true they will deploy elsewhere.

Here's hoping

Indian AF to UK maybe !!!!

I saw a thread some time ago with a mention of a deployment to the UK of Indian AF 76/78's and Flankers, has anyone else heard about this ? any truth in it ? and if so would they be based at Waddington again.

Many thanks
