Re: Air Day 2023
The RN either used or partnered with AHA Events to organise and/or run the Air Day. Unfortunately, that firm went into voluntary liquidation in early 2022 having pulled out of the events business, presumably as a result of Covid. To date the RN have not been able to find a replacement organisation a...

Re: Departing Falcons?
I was testing ADS-B Exchange v 360Radar v AirNav Radar Box yesterday afternoon and was watching these aircraft and comparing the results from each of the trackers. The Falcons flew out of Coningsby about 1530h as Mothball 91 and 92 and then engaged with three 100 Sqn Hawks over the sea off the Lincs...

Antibacterial hand cleanser wouldn't be any use at all in this instance as Covid is a virus not anything bacterial It is perfectly OK to use anti-bac on your hands to clean them after touching items such as mentioned here. The anti-bac needs to have more than 60% alcohol content, which most of the ...

Re: RAF Coningsby Phantoms's Serial Numbers?
Visit here: http://www.f4phantomeers.org.uk/archive.html?LMCL=SV1Wfs and download the 'RAF Phantom History Spreadsheet'. It gives all the serial numbers and tailcodes of RAF/RN Phantoms and which units/squadrons they served with. Doesn't tie it down to individual years, but at least you will have a ...

The pilot swap is normally around mid-October, but this year was late November.

Re: F16 Demo Team breaks another jet!
One thing that stands out for me here is this is the same USAF Demo team that very publicly ousted it’s first choice of pilot/leader earlier in the year due to a “loss of confidence”. Looks like the whole team management should be under the spotlight. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news...

The stall said it would be available via http://encortafinal.com/en/ from August, not sure about the website though lots of copies listed. Unless the translation is off Any one managed to find the patch on here? Can’t seem to find it yet. Spanish crews told me August or September, possibly. Also, I...

Re: File on 4 The UKs Military Training System.
I haven't listened myself, but from what I've heard from others it was rather centred on student gripes than being a balanced piece with input from across the system, and from the top downwards. Ultimately holds are a fact of life, sometimes they're short, sometimes they're long. At the moment ther...

CCD = charge-coupled device.
CCD is a major technology for providing digital imaging. So at the moment imaging comes via IR in the Eletro-Optical Tracking System, but there is a planned future upgrade to use CCD
