Re: THEME FOR RIAT 2020

Merely suggesting themes, The C27 Spartan may want to adopt an appropriate paint scheme as did the Belgian F16's with D-Day Squadron tails this year.
"Not entirely sure" I wish to enter any other opinions if it's laughed at as soon as it's posted. :(. we're not all experts.

Re: THEME FOR RIAT 2020

50th Anniversary of;

First Flight of the Westland Puma.
First Production C5 Galaxy enters operational service
First Flight of Aeritalia G222

All of these could be represented and commemorated in some way next year. :thumb:

Good update today. More heavies for the static line.
Noticed that Bournemouth have updated their site today with confirmation of Swedish Draken confirmed flying. Are the rules different if it's flying over water.
Wonder if it will be at any other UK shows being that Bournemouth is in August.

Fabulous day at Duxford today. too many highlights to mention. well done to everyone who was involved in making this happen.
Spent lots of time talking to the pilots and some veterans. Now back at home my mind is reflective on all those who paid the ultimate price, Lest we forget.

Lets hope the Spanish Navy Incursion into British waters in Gibraltar dies down quickly, hopefully just being larged up by the media. :(

USAF C17 is confirmed by Yeovilton site as a static for their show. Maybe we will see it hop over to RIAT as the US aircraft normally share both shows. Would be a nice static addition. :)

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

I prefer the days before we all knew what was going to be displayed, we turned up, paid our money and bought a programme (wait for it, probably unlocked the door for people to moan about the price of the program now...). We'd find our pitch and sit down and look at the details for the flying display...

Farnborough Airshow scrubbing Public Days

ITV News have just reported on the proposed scrapping of the public days for next years show. Nothing from the USAF ACC or USMC. :(
There are some gaps again as in 2018 which conveniently were announced closer to the date. I can see that RIAT weekend is busy but presume schedules can be changed. Or am I being over optimistic. :'(

Re: RIAT post Mildenhall closure

If Mildenhall guys and gals are still at Fairford for the show does that mean we get all of the Burger stands that we all loved in the Mildenhall heyday. That would put a big sock in the food outlets that were ripping everyone off
