Re: Jason's Challenge Coins
That is a great collection. I particularly like the VAQ-209 Prowler coin and the CH-53 coins. I have a coin collection as well mostly from my USAF career but also several I have picked up since retiring. I generally only collect C-130 related coins but have a few others as well. Thanks for sharing. ...

Re: Turkey to buy Ex RAF C 130-C4
I have a degree of hope that once the latest defence review is complete that we may order a small number ( maybe 6 or so ) new build C-130 aircraft primarily to assist getting special people to difficult places to do discreet tasks. Fingers crossed. Why? We have just removed them from the inventory...

Re: Turkey to buy Ex RAF C 130-C4
Well they didn't keep them and they have been retired, The End . Also, despite the fact they have had the centre wing boxes replaced as they were some of the first C-130Js built. Australia is replacing its similarly older Js also Yes they sure are but with 24 brand new C-130J's! So not only replaci...

Re: Wanted - Royal Jordanian Air Force Air Tattoo Stickers
I too collect them and can send you pics of the dozen or so I have so you know whats out there. Sadly the last two RIATs they had nothing to give out. And I suspect they will not have stickers this year either. I was told the guy who used to do them is no longer with the RJAF Herks.

Okay no worries. Thanks for the reply. I'm an A-10 patch collector but I understand it does take time. Hope they sell well for you at Newark.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
The Air Force Air Mobility Command need to put on their big boy pants (what you call trousers) and show up. With an airshow of this size, I do not see the US Air Force not sending any aircraft. The United States Air Force In Europe (USAFE) still has F-16s in Germany and Italy, F15s and F35s at Lake...

Re: RIAT on a Friday.
The Friday static is only 2/3 open. The Green zone is shut but its a great day. Less of a crowd, some arrivals, and yes quite a few of the squadrons will have stalls out selling merchandise. I go every year for the Friday and Saturday shows. Some things sell out on the Friday and some displays are F...

Re: B1 Deployment Patches (10/2023)
The short answer is no it is not common. And I will don my tin hat here but as a patch collector, I and many other collectors don't collect them. It's purely made for the spotters and photographers. So I'm not really a fan of them as they are not worn by the unit and are purely made for money. But t...

Patches for Sale USN, USAF, and Foreign
Hey just a heads up here. A friend of mine is selling a bunch of patches on eBay. Seller name is phils-loft. And here is a link to one of the items. Then just look at sellers others items. Some great patches and good prices. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%...

Just a heads up. I have posted more patches now and I made a mistake on the UK postage rate so have lowered it considerably. Happy bidding!

Patches for Sale
Hello to all and I hope the quarantine situation isn’t affecting anyone too badly. I’m listing a number of military aviation patches, a scarf, and even a Ukrainian Air Defence uniform on eBay. The patches are from various air forces and some are older and some are more recent. I will upload some mor...

Re: RIAT 2019 patches
This was my RIAT haul. It wasn’t the best show for displays but it was good for the variety of patches on offer. Prices were definitely more than previous years for most stalls. There were some exceptions. The Danish were reseasonable as were the AWACS. But the Lakenheath guys as noted earlier had v...

Re: RIAT 2019 patches
Gary is correct. However they sold out that day in 25 min so they didn’t last 2 hours! And then they did the same on Saturday when they only had 11 of them left.

Re: Gary's Aviation patches
Nice haul Gary. I got the Vador 2019 pvc as well but not the cloth. I’m kicking myself as they had the 2018 cloth on the table when I went by the first time on Friday and got the 2019 pvc but I hesitated and went back later only for it to be gone. It was all a bit random when they put them out. Will...

Re: Riat 2019 patches
Gary,
The 4£ Danish Patch is the pvc with the hammer and the F-16. The one referred to above is the round pvc with the red and white special scheme on it and the 800 number. They had some on their shoulders but none for sale. But they should have some for sale soon.
