The scrubbed out badge on XM137 is a winged bell. It represented the 60 MU Unit Test Pilot Sqn Ldr Dick "Dinger" Bell.

Re: KEF Request

Mike,

The Herk would be KC-130J 170276 which departed Kef for Portsmouth (NH) at 12:36 on Thursday.
On Thursday there were 6 F-18s of VMA(AW)-224 returning home from deployment to Tampere. The 6 (NB: not 5) were: 164873, 164874, 165221, 165230, 164968, and 165684.

Re: E3D arrivals 1991

ZH104 was definitely delivered 4.4.91 and not 4.5.91 (refer BAR).
ZH107 is also correct as 22.8.91 - corrects my 23.8.

Re: E3D arrivals 1991

Mike,

I have......

ZH104 d/d from Boeing Field 4.4.91 as "Mead 04".
ZH106 d/d from Boeing Field 30.7.91 as "Allen 06".
ZH107 d/d from Boeing Field 23.8.91 as "Mead 107".

Do you have the callsigns for ZH103 on 10.1.91 and ZH105 on 7.7.91?

Cheers,

Re: Panshanger 23rd February 1988

Ronald, Without doing a lot of digging, your conclusions all look in line with expectations. A couple of bits quickly pulled from my log:- EGLG PANSHANGER 6.3.82: DT-566 T-33A-LO, (51-8566) d/d RDanAF 15.5.61, Wfu 17.3.77. >A report that Canberra WJ753/7656M had appeared on the dump here by 4/79 is thought wrong, this aircraft being at Henlow - any confirmation?" The above reference to "WJ753.... this aircraft being at Henlow" is clearly wrong. The a/c at Hemlow was WJ573 (ie not 753) which was there from 12.60 to 8.7...
