Re: Lakenheath Visitor Summary - 2024
Yes I agree and actually they don't appear on the UK civilian register so I assume they are owned by the MOD and operated by a civilian contractor (HHA)

Re: Lakenheath Visitor Summary - 2024
07-4635 Herky 714 paid a quick visit today in from Ramstein out to Lask credit sentinel
Probably a sign of an imminent deployment - has to be F-35A as there isn't much else at Lakenheath!?
Should really add in the two Hunters from last week I suppose although they are Civil?

Re: Lakenheath back to full strength
That rumour of two or three more hawks has been doing the rounds and I think aviation media pick on the same gossip There is another rumour to add to the list that says just the opposite and they are leaving soon - take your pick! It is noticeable last week that they were flying with eagles rather t...

Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?
Nice camera Canon make good cameras, not as good as Nikon but good enough for aviation photography :P :D I read an article on line that suggested Sony make the best mirrorless / Electronic Shutter cameras because they don't need the mechanical expertise built up by Nikon and Canon to construct the p...

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
I just put Iniochos - i don't think it matters, not entirely sure why but the Barclays app picked up the bank details from the IBAN and let me process the payment - again I think I had this issue last year With Barclays you select the country [Greece] Type in 20 euros - Barclays does the exchange an...

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
Paid the 20 Euros on my Barclays app, the app doesn't generate a receipt - used the same method last year and it wasn't a problem as they just ticked your name off a list but if you get a receipt from your payment method then I guess you should take a copy of it as directed in the email from the HAF

Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?
I think the R7 if you are a canon user is probably a good choice - it is a crop sensor. I don't have a mirrorless system but I have been at the fence with people who do and I know framing and continuous shooting whilst panning with a moving aircraft is a major subject of discussion - it appears to t...

Re: B1b RAF Fairford
Unless I am misunderstanding the refuelling starts at 14:15 over Cornwall so they probably won't go until 2pm - that is if they are going?
I guess to be a little more accurate ARA10 starts over Bath
