Re: COVID-19 UK

Some good news from the Government Covid update , suggesting that covid vaccination will tentatively start next week.

Glad Boris refrained from quoting " Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning"

Kuwait A-4 Bentwaters 15/7/78

Hi
just going back through a rather scruffy log for Bentwaters 15/07/1978 and noticed I just have " 3 X Kuwait A-4" but no serials!! Any help is appreciated.

That day Mildenhall had 3 German ( 50+33,50+43,50+78) and 2 French (F13,F5) Transalls.

The next day at Odiham produced 12 HEER choppers!

Re: COVID-19 UK

The Pfizer vaccine works without side effects but having your arm frozen to -80c is proving to be fairly unpopular.

Re: COVID-19 UK

According to the news Matt Hancock has agreed to have the first vaccination live on TV.

Apparently they need a bell end for the first injection so the secretary of state was put forward.

Re: Lakenheath spotters carpark

The government is intending to mean physical recreation, e.g. going for a walk, not sitting in your car waiting for something to happen at an airfield. I really think you are wrong : from the November guidelines you may travel :- to spend time or exercise outdoors - this should be done locally wher...

Wow! Just watching the highlights. He is a very lucky man to be still alive. The weight of the g force from the sudden stop must of been incredible. The halo safety system has saved another life. Amazing reactions from the marshalls one of whom was moving towards the fireball within two or three sec...

Re: Lakenheath spotters carpark

I think it would very much depend on where you live as to how far you may be about to travel and also the reason. In the more rural areas of the UK you may have to travel a fair distance just for essential shopping but no journey to an airfield for spotting purposes could be construed as essential....

Re: COVID-19 UK

In the first wave I imagine a lot of community infection probably originated from hospital. The local surgery which would normally have done a routine blood test for my partner said she had to go over to the West Suffolk instead. This was back in early summer. Some huge infection numbers coming out ...

...but I can go next door with some cans and a bottle! Being in Tier 2 that's only outdoors, not mixing households indoors - unless of course you and next door are a support bubble. You are correct , I didn't realize that you cannot meet inside Shops will reopen in T2 so Norwich John Lewis will be ...

Re: COVID-19 UK

Found out the other day that nurse around the corner from us works at the West Suffolk and she couldn't go home from April until the beginning of June - she had to stay in a motel off the A11 so you were lucky in some respects that your wife could be home. I don't disapprove of the lock down theory ...

Re: COVID-19 UK

Norfolk will kick off in tier 2 which means pubs can sell beer with food I think Could make a a round of drinks expensive if you have to buy a haddock and chips with each beer ! I don't have a problem with lockdowns or the government trying to do something even if they get it wrong - there are no go...
