Re: Flying Graphics T Shirts - Any Good

The guys at Flying Graphics are an approachable bunch who would listen to feedback. I have their Bear Hunter tee and the Battle of Britain Few one. Nowt wrong with the t-shirt quality. I emailed them about them putting aircraft names next to the diagrams. I don't think they need them but the wider c...

Pardon the thread abuse..but good to see that Lynx again.

I believe this is the same Lynx, minus nose art on the NRP Corte Real in 2009:

Re: Bentwaters and Woodbridge 70's and 80's.

These threads are great! I was too young to remember the F-4s going by the house, but saw the F-111s and A-10s most days.

Thanks for taking the time to post!

Your Hair Force One jibe deserves wider recognition.

Have you got a Twitter account?

Great series of photos. That RC-12(?) is probably an aircraft mechanics worst nightmare from a H&S perspective. One slip of a spanner and you'll be impaled on something.

Damn it! Went through there last October and there was nothing happening.

Did manage to see some Lakotas at Hilo though. The Blackhawks are probably from the same MEDEVAC squadron?

Never knew they deployed there..in mitigation I would've been about 9-10. Bit of a forgotten colour scheme (the green).

I wasn't aware that the Lincoln/Lancaster Napier testbed existed until I read this thread.

Seems it's now in Australia?

What a great thread!

So many great photos, thanks for posting your Dad's pics. Standouts for me, the YF-17, C-130A with the original nose (or lack of it), the line-up of Gannets and lastly, the best one (just for the movement and the light): Canberra WK163 on the previous page. Iconic.

Re: Loaded and ABLE F-15Es depart RAF Lakenheath 25th May 20

It isn't the Libyans that are fleeing Libya on the migrant boats. And were those AIM-9s or AIM-120s? The JDAMs appear to be minus any sort of yellow or blue banding that SHOULD be there. This one is going to be a mystery until news reports start to trickle out of extremists wandering out of the dese...

Re: Loaded and ABLE F-15Es depart RAF Lakenheath 25th May 20

You can download 3800px wide images from Flickr, which is what I did, then drop them in to Photoshop and lighten them (which I didn't do) to be sure, but I'm almost convinced there is no blue band. Ok I've done that...looks like my eye is just distorting the grey. Have we had the discussion about t...

Re: Loaded and ABLE F-15Es depart RAF Lakenheath 25th May 20

No blue bands anywhere other than on the aircraft. AIM-120s appear to have a pinkish-gold band on them too. I think only Mike can get a decent close-up on his photos. With the bad light it's hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure there's a light blue band on the front of those bombs. The AIM-120s do app...

Can someone confirm looking at those if they've got a light blue band on the JDAMs?
