I had an optics failure today, so could any kind soul provide me with a list of what was on the deck today please.

It depends what time you visited really, but at sunrise the following were present:

00175 C-17 McChord Towed across the runway to H/S 65 for engine runs all morning
37982 KC-135 Fairchild
20191 KC-10 Travis
91710 KC-10 McGuire
62-4134 RC-135W Red Band
61-2662 RC-135S Black Band

40190 KC-10 McGuire Arrived around 0845 and departed later in the morning
30077 KC-10 Travis Arrived around 1000

20191, the Travis KC-10 above, also departed sometime around lunchtime I believe

and I think thats it, but happy to be corrected!

i was gunna ask the same question as well. I dont suppose anyone can confirm the 2x Rc's and the 7? Ospreys that were also visible.

12662 RC-135S

RC 61 2662 would be the 'Cobra Ball' with the black right wing- a variant I've never seen before.

Does anyone know if these two 135's had chicks with them this morning, saw a tanker over East Yorkshire this morning that had 4 chicks with it.

As RC-135s do not have a refuelling boom, I would say the answer is most definitely "No".

Also, this thread relates specifically to 9th December.......
