If you read it properly it says two aircraft not 3:
both the specially-painted CF-188 and a second "grey jet" to the U.K
There is no 'of' after both, signifying they refer to two aircraft. There will only be one special to bring.
Cheers
Mark

Will be attending for the first time this year. Not had a great year this year with both my in-laws passing away within a few months. We are busy clearing their house out and today found through their letterbox a brochure from National Holidays (they used to travel with them often). My wife was looking through it and said that they did a trip to RIAT and then said these words 'Do you fancy going..?'.

20 minutes later we've booked, Friday through Sunday with 2 nights B&B and a dinner at a local hotel with coach into the show and admission for the Saturday included.

Looking forward already.....

Steve

Swiss added today
The nation will be sending their ever-popular PC-7 Team, flying nine Pilatus turboprop trainers, as well as the loud and impressive F-18 Hornet Display Team! Both display acts are pictured above performing a flypast at the 2009 Air Tattoo

Cheers Gary, sounding great already...2 F-18's in the display will be awesome!!

Maybe we'll get more F-18s than F-16's for once this year?! :D :D

Sorry no links to post, but I've heard rumblings that the Greeks are hoping to return this year with hopefully two a/c types.

Return of the F-4s and a couple of Buckeyes would do me just fine, we can but hope. ;)

SWAFHF have RIAT on their list again, slight change to the norm, dates of arrival and departure are showing. Not holding my breath though.

Well they were working to try and get them to fly at Scampton, and there was a slight chance even a week before the show, so fingers crossed....

Thursday update:

We're pleased to bring you another great update today! The beginning of the jet-age will be represented in the flying display at the 2018 Air Tattoo as two civilian owned Vampire jet fighters are confirmed!

The Cold War aircraft, from the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron, will be painted in special Royal Air Force livery for the 2018 season to mark the RAF's Centenary
