Nellis 1997 : USAF 50th. Anniversary Trip
Hello ,
Would anyone be able to identify the new-build C17s noted outside at <edit> *Long Beach * at the time of the Nellis Show please ?
It would be late April 1997 I think.
Also, any pointers for a checklist of the Nellis show participants for the same trip ? Log book gone adrift for that period.
Any help appreciated
Thanks and regards,
Paul

C-17's were built at Long Beach not Palmdale. Three were noted there at the time of the Golden Tattoo at Nellis namely 94-0067, 95-0106 and 95-0107. However they were not all seen on the same day.

Great . Thanks very much for that.
I should have double-checked the location.
Duly noted, now corrected.
Thanks again for confirming.
Best regards,
Paul

On our trip to the Golden Air Tattoo we visited Mesa Falcon Field on 19 April. My query relates to the then McDonnell Douglas (McDDH) helicopters plant.
We noted three Mexican AF MD530MG's and a couple of the test AH-64's used by McDDH. However there was a row of AH-64's no doubt awaiting conversion from the A model to the D model. Did anyone manage to read any of them off, please.

This may be something of an idea where we could all get together to clear up each others queries from around this time.
I certainly have loads from places like Tustin, El Toro, Miramar, El Centro Lemoore, North island ,Fallon.
all of which we had tours on mostly in the week in between Fallon and Nellis shows plus through to the following D M show.
