LN-F22A Raptors, Heavies,Pavehawk and a few Eagles

Post by XWP29 » Thu Oct 12, 2017 11:16 pm

Spent a great day at the wire with a fellow Reaper Thursday with good variety of Aircraft on view; with some diverts here from yesterday. Later in the afternoon came a very long, and easy viewing, session of the 56th around the Wangford Road area on approach and runway. Could be v busy Monday morning. Last two for Paddy!

Looks like you had a great day. Love the guy in the fire truck. Interesting shot of the 22 landing with his sidewinder weapon bay door open on landing.

Hi Mike
Thanks, a very full day for us all! Sparky the Firedog in the Fire truck apparently, quite entertaining as they made a lot of noise with the siren.
Must say hello sometime at the wire, from the photos we can't have been that far away. We were by the FG crash gate for the F22 returns.

Cheers Andy, A full day once they started and lovely weather, we were very lucky!

Interestingly, the missile doors were open on both sides when he landed. No idea why. Do both doors open even if there is only one simulated launch?

It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.
