Coningsby 11/09/17

Post by mark17 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 3:56 pm

Hi All,

I decided on a trip to Coningsby on Monday in the hope of catching the German Air Force who are visiting and I wasn't to be disappointed
The weather was a different ball game though, bright sunshine then extremely heavy downpours :@

The German Typhoons were 1st out

Followed by 3 Tornado's

Typhoon lifting off

Followed by a pair then a single GAF Tornado launch

Then a 11sq Typhoon taxi's as the pair of GAF Tonkas get airborne

The morning GAF recoveries were when the light was at its worst so the afternoon action kicked of with Apollo flight

Then Rebel called up and duly taxied out and did one circuit with one burner lit before clearing off on his mission

Then Aces flight came back out to play as a two ship

Closely followed by Razor flight just dodging a hefty downpour

Rebel recovers

Aces flight returns

Great set. Really like the pairs departure and them over the top of the Typhoon.
Noticed a few spots on some of the shots. It may be the sensor that needs a clean.

Very nice variety of shots. I also smiled when I saw the 'effort' to remove the mast & pole for 335 & Rebel at the threshold, but leave the dust-spots! With up to 6 mega dust-bunnies on your Rebel first circuit, it does detract from a very fine image IMO.
