That's a shame, claim on your insurance..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Could have been picked up by a security patrol. Anything even remotely electronic looking would be investigated and taken by base security, if found with no-one near it. Maybe ring up the gate and ask to be put through, you never know? ;)

What do you mean any update on this? You were the one that said you'd go and have a look for it, if anyone's got any sort of update its most likely to be you!

What ever the case this thread has been resurrected 2 months after its initial posting and went without reply, so unfortunately it's unlikely anyone on this forum has found it.

Can only hope it has found its way back to you Shaggie, or that it does in future if it hasn't! Should be plenty of people around again over the next 6 weeks with the upcoming Ex.

Be nice to see and hear B-1's and a B-52 again. Shame about losing your scanner.

Samp

Hi Mate, don't like your ' CURT' attitude. I simply offered to go out and have a look for some ones Lost scanner, I'd be a bit fraught if I lost mine to. If you loos yours 'IF YOU HAVE ONE' don't bother asking for help as I wont offer :@

MRTT... Samp.s Post was rather Curt and rude... So Skywatch1's post was warranted.. in the circumstances... As we have had grumpy Moderators in the past.. we don't want a repeat of that.

If you think Sam's post was "rude" then you should be glad he got there before I did!

skywatch1 did you actually go to Fairford and look? You said you were going to...and then asked for an update? Think about it, it makes no sense. You're the only one who can update on whether you went, or whether you found anything!

Let's draw a line under this? Shaggie lost his scanner in mid-June, two months ago. Since then there's been a large air show and lots of heavy rain. I suspect the sad reality is that it's either been taken and kept because whoever found it didn't know where to return it, is lost forever in a wet verge or is soaked and ruined. The best you could hope for is that a dog walker saw it the next day and handed it to the local police.
