10/1 Whats on the ground?

Post by jakdaw » Tue Jan 10, 2017 4:11 pm

Hi all

Parked up today to have a look first thing this morning and on the ground were the following:

3x E-3D including the 54[r]sqd special
2x Rivet joint (1x on E-3 pan (Big Goose so in ZZ664) and 1x main asp)
1x Sentinel (main asp)
along with XM607 and G-LNCT

No binoculars to read off hope this is of interest. Anyone able to fill gaps would be appreciated was too early to ask at the WAVE for Johns assistance.

There was also a 2nd Sentinel to the right of the tower, (Between Hangars 2 and 3?) a Shadow (Snake46) departed around 9.20, which was parked to the left of the RJ on Main ASP.

And lastly a white civvi type, towed from right of hangar 2? to somewhere near the tower, no Binoculars so couldnt get serial or type.

Cheers

Thank you guys for the help, its nice to see planes both back on the ground and flying about. Sure it will just get busier from now on as operations continue to return to normal. Must start packing the binoculars just in case again!!

The white civvie registered one is G-LBSB. It's the trainer for the shadows. Will be turned into a Mil A/C eventually I believe
