Nice way to start the New Year! Edinburgh 10th January

Post by Ross Forsyth » Tue Jan 10, 2017 5:43 pm

So for the first time in a long time I managed to get out the office at work when something worthwhile was visiting, unfortunately the only thing I had to use was my iphone camera!
Anyway first military visitors of the year to Edinburgh today in the shape of a United States Marine Corp UC-35D Eastbound and the very unexpected C-27J which will eventually end up with
35 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force heading west to get fitted out in the USA before finally delivery, this having diverted into Edinburgh due to strong headwinds requiring them to gas n go

Very nice catches, and really sharp for an iPhone! :thumb:

Awesome catch with the Aussie, don't think you'll see them again in this country once they all get delivered.

Brilliant catches Ross  Had watched the C27J trundling across the Channel and up country on ADSB, and noted the UC-35 dropping into EDI.
It was barely visible like a 'pin head' in clear sky when it passed over the Humber on its journey onward into Europe.
Thanks for posting,
