2017(18th annual) Abingdon Air & Country Show
Morning! After last nights first meeting for the 2017(18th annual) Abingdon Air & Country Show on Sunday 14th May,we can tell you the admission prices for the show will remain at 2016 prices as follows:
Adult £17.50 on the gate (in advance £12), OAP £12 on the gate (in advance £8), Child 5-15yrs £6 on the gate (in advance £4).
A family ticket of 2 Adult & up to 3 children being offerred for 2017 will cost £29.50 in Advance only and this ticket only purchased from the website for a limited period.
Military personnel can on production of ID get in on Advance rate.
Carer / Disabled person - The disabled person will need to pay however the carer will get a free ticket on production of ID to prove this.
Coach Partys - interested coach companys persons will have to purchase tickets in advance and possibly the coach booking fee (subject to any coach companys discretion).
Free Car Parking.
We are looking at a couple of online ticketing companys again to produce our Advance tickets and this will be known and sorted by the New Year.
Also, the same Tourist Information Centres etc we used for Advance tickets maywell also be selling - to be confirmed in the New Year.
Trade Stall / Crafts forms will see a small increase in fees to help cover our overheads. Ex Military / Steam / Classic Vehicle forms will still carry the charity £5 per entry charge, and likewise with Traders / Crafts, any person helping in all catergories of forms after driver & one passenger will need to purchase consessionary rate tickets of £8 per adult / £4 per child as before.
Programs - a minimum of a 20 page A5 colour program as before will see an increase in price from the present £1 to at least £1.50 per program.
We are pleased to announce too work is progessing on looking at a new show orientation onto the East / West runway, and a hard fence segregating the showground to the Car Parks making it more difficult to gain access so without a ticket your out of luck!.
We have also onboard a new Security Company "Topher" who are mainly ex Gurkha soldiers to patrol / paygate staff.
There will be the popular photo nightshoot again on Saturday 13th May in the evening, more details to be released about two months prior to the show.
More updates as we go along and soon can announce the first couple of ground and aerial performers. Keep updated via our twitter page / facebook pages / website.
And of course we will be carrying on supporting the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Trust.
