Noticed that no-one has commented on the show itself - I/we were there on Saturday and it was pretty good although the BBMF flight was a bit sparse (no Lanc) and no Reds (terrible thunderstorms at Brize where they had staged for the afternoon and so could not safely depart).

Best shows of the day (?):
- Several of the individual aerobatic displays
- the 2x Red Hawks 1/6th scale model aircraft dual displays = absolutely phenominal flying and coordination - superb!!

I was also there on Saturday and would agree that the two R/C Reds were brilliant. I thought that Brendan O'Brien's idea to get Red 10 to do the commentary on their second display in replacement of the Red Arrows was inspired. Just prior to this there were a lot of very sad faces and it helped lift the atmosphere somewhat. The weather was good on the Saturday if not a little hazy but the aircraft present that did display put on a good show. Well done Dunsfold.

I agree about Brendan's inspired idea to get Red 10 to do that commentary - pity he doesn't still do those stunts with Cub and the towed trailer, although I can well understand why he does not (age v risk catches up with us all!). Also, does anyone remember those brilliant flying programmes that he used to do ?).

Anyway, one other thought: virtually all the "action" took place at the S.Western end of the field (we were about 100yds that side of the Control Tower and so were fine) and I thought that those at the other end got a rather rough deal in terms of what they could see - so how was it there?

BTW: how did everyone find the journeys to and from Dunsfold?

Regarding the traffic , I arrived at 09.00 on Saturday and drove straight into airfield with no traffic at all . Planned to go as Reds finished anyway as swmbo wanted to leave early . As it happened , Reds cancelled so we went back to car and left the airfield with again no traffic .
On the whole , a very good show as usual . I really enjoyed the Norwegian Vampires , BBMF Spitfires and the aerobatic displays . Well run show and will be back next year .
