Agree with most of these & all were good however I feel SoloTurk should of got one of the awards, their display was outstanding on Saturday.
Then again most displays bar the odd few were worthy of something.

Generally agree - although probably SoloTurk for the Gripen on my account.

SoloTurk, for me, was more dynamic with a few 'newer' moves. The flypast where he he kept dipping the nose multiple times in an almost bowing to the crowd motion was clever. Also liked the sheer volume of rolls in one fly past manoeuvre.

Shame really but then again the standard was very high.

Regards,

Ash

I am very happy the French Air Force Ramex Delta Mirage 2000N's won the award for the Display Team

I could have watched them all day. I remember last year they were brilliant as well :thumb:

Such a shame it was their final UK display :(

A great RIAT this year - Thank you to all the organizers & pilots :thumb:

Cheers

The rate of roll used in his many rolls was also very impressive I thought. I was slightly surprised he didn't receive a reward too, but as you say, the quality of all the displays was very high.

This weekend was the last ever display by Ramex Delta but there may well be a similar team on the cards from the French with 2 Rafales!!

I believe the word missing is....'Public' There will be a couple more 'private' displays on home turf before they retire the Team & aircraft? ;)

I went on Sunday. Shame that a few were cancelled but the weather is what it is!
For me it was the Rafale all the way.
Gutted the F22 was cut short - it was one of the main reasons I went.
Really liked Team Orlik as well.
Great show overall, very happy!

I think they got the awards spot on this year, there were some excellent displays but the Rafale and Gripen were standout. Possibly a bit tough that Soloturk didn't feature but there you go, shows the high standard. Reds were excellent as usual. Hats off to the RIAT team who did an outstanding job of organising once again despite some pretty duff British summer weather, I was only able to go Saturday and felt quite lucky that it remained dry and everything flew pretty much on time, although shame that Frecce had to do their flat display…..still awesome though !

I am rather suprised that the BAe Typhoon won an award as personally I did not rate the display as anything worthy of note. I cannot argue with the other awards, well deserved all of them. I voted for the Luftwaffe EF200 for the best paint job but understand it might not be everyone's first choice.

I thought the best two overall displays were the Polish Mig and SoloTurk, neither got an award..

Then again there was so many fantastic displays this year.
