When we left at 4.10PM we saw 5 Sea King HC4s parked near RWY09.
4 were starting up for the Air Assault: ZA2(89?)/D, Z..../K, ZA.../Q, and code WA???
Can anyone help with those 5 serials?

Also the Lynxes/Wildcats in Hangar 13/14:
Hangar 13:
ZZ379
1x Lynx HMA8 seen from front
Hangar 14:
XZ722/671, XZ732/673, ..../316
Any help on those.

And maybe anyone read the Lynx HMA.8 that arrived from the east at 8.25AM saturday?

Erik,

The Sea King's in the assault were ZA296/Q, ZA299/D, ZE427/K, ZG821/G. I couldn't read the one that didn't
fly but according to the check list it should be ZA295/U.

The Lynx HMA8 in H13 should be XZ725/CB-337 according to the check list, all I could read was Cardigan Bay
on the nose.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the missing serials from Hangar 13/14 and HC.4s at RWY09.

Another question:
was the former Egypt Sea King still at the dump. Did not recognize it, saw from left to richt from the static:
1x Sea Harrier
1x Sea Harrier? with old roundel
1x Wessex
in front of it a Harrier ? fuselage or is this the Sea King ?
and right from the radar tower: 1x Harrier GR3

Anyone for the 4 white Yak-52s that flew?

Still no one for the Lynx that arrived the 26th at 8.20AM?
The Aeronavale Falcon 10 arrived at 8.30AM with c/s FNY55A2

Can I just ask, not being rude.. Why do people care about serials? I get that everyone is different and likes different things, but I go to airshows to enjoy the aircraft. I can't see getting any enjoyment out of writing down numbers..

Each to their own.. I do collect serials, and will be slightly disappointed if a previously seen one turns up(RIAT's EF-18 springs to mind).. But im not the sort to go half way round the world to get the latest F-16.

One that does always get me, An-225's. Everytime one is due its always the same one... ;)

So do people collect serials to know if it's different plane or if it's the exact same one they're watching? I just don't see the enjoyment myself. A plane is a plane to me! ha

Again each to their own. Personally I do it for research and because it interests me. However I do agree to an extent, although I'd much rather see an Aussie Super Bug tearing the sky apart than a yank one waving at the ISS :D
