Graham, that camp site was demolished years ago, and "returned to nature". I was down there again today, and at various point during the day there were 3 A109's and an NH90, that I saw between 11.00 and 16.00. None of the aircraft are based at Otterburn, and they appear to be flying in from Newcastle. The 109's did land at the camp at the old heli pads, not the new compound. Again there were no aircraft support assets, unless there was a tanker up at the heli pad, but if there was, it was no Oskosh. I have tried to find a site with movements at Newcastle, to confirm if they are there, but have been unable to find any.
Danny, have you tried

There are movement from the Belgians logged on there today

Hi Pete,
I posted on NE movements section that they are based at Newcastle but was trying to be helpful with their location when they departed north as people had been on the ranges and not seen them.
They are operating from Apron G at Newcastle and were very active today to Otterburn and back.

Thanks for that link Pete, saved to favourites. :thumb:

Graham, just in case, I did check out the old site at Rochester you mentioned earlier. It's a pity they weren't using it, as there is a nice location just to the East that overlooks it. A prime spot back in the days of slide film. :D

No worries only mentioned it as a possible location following a post on this thread earlier saying they had lifted from this location.

We should post thanks to you for that info, grahem. They certainly must have the funding for those extortionate landing fees! You have to feel for the boys on the range in their Bivi's whilst the chopper crews have a nice hotel room

Thanks to all for sharing info.

No problem, Danny. It's a great tool for anything passing south to north of EGNT and a little heads up tool for anything heading to the borders for low level let down. So it may be put to good use by yourself and the guys up there as it's all logged in live time.

Thanks for the info, I had wondered last week what all the movement was. I’m new to the site and this is excellent local knowledge, cheers.
