Re: Last week at Duxford
each to their own but that "film" look ruins the pics for me.
Re: Last week at Duxford
Greta images - well done, but the film-strip does detract... (sorry..)
Re: Last week at Duxford
Thanks for the comments , be they good ,bad or indifferent. I just wanted to present them another way. Sometimes it gets boring just seeing the squares on there own
but I'll remember for next time, to leave out the film strip look...cheers...
To make up for that awful look 2 shots without...

Actually John, 10/10 for doing something different!
Life would be boring if everything was the same; perhaps not to everyone's taste, but worth at try.
Some nice 'takes' tucked away in those frames.

Very nice. I thought that the Airbus driver could do with brushing up his formation skills!!! [no.7]
Re: Last week at Duxford
Hi reheat module and jem60....I'll take that that nice 10/10 score rh , I think at best you saw what I was aiming to do. The old35mm frame style , was purely to pull in some
interest through presentation. Yes jem60, the old airliners seemed to want a slice of the formation action , free airborne spectators ,I wonder when they will call that area "The naughty sky" .

Re: Last week at Duxford
Some top shots there John, esp the Gnats, Pembroke + the Buchons taking off, which is redolent of the Battle of Britain.
Re: Last week at Duxford
Thanks Mick, good to hear from you mate .Here is another stalwart from that 1940s air campaign, that didn't get the limelight like it should have...

Plus a few more, showing the Buchon's getting bounced by a yak, and that other aeroplane in the shadow of the Hurricane...

Re: Last week at Duxford
I hate to burst your bubble but the film look does not work - firstly film is a negative and you showed the positive and secondly the sprocket holes are not exposed with film, they'd be orange not the background colour.
A positive would be a contact print but you'd still see the sprocket holes without the background colour.
It was a good try at making something different, caught out by an old fart from the days of film, that's analogue for the youngsters

You didn't burst any bubble Wallace, it was a word you have used to interpret my presentation attempt, which was not a serious intention to emulate positive film/E6/, or call it what you like.Wallace wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 7:45 amI hate to burst your bubble but the film look does not work - firstly film is a negative and you showed the positive and secondly the sprocket holes are not exposed with film, they'd be orange not the background colour.

I merely wanted to present the images taken with my digital camera, to appear with a difference other than the regular frame used. So you haven't really caught me out, you just reminded me
the amount of old farts that want to pick holes, when they should put their thoughts in them...
