OTT RCH747 was 58-0077 inbound Aldergrove.

RCH104 64-14829 was also inbound Aldergrove. Both this and RCH747 came direct from "a sandy place", not from Ramstein.

See RCH section.

At a guess I would think it could have been A Chipmunk (WK624) returning back from Goodwood Revival. WK624 is based at Blackpool Airport (Hangar 2A) with High G Ltd (Owned by Ex Tarnish 14 pilot John Hurrell).
They also own/operate a Bulldog, Yak 50, BAC Strikemaster, Cessna 172, Pitts Special and Extra 300s (Mark Hanson) .. well worth a look if your ever in area.

Nope deffo not a chipmunk ... it was much much bigger .... DC3/C47 size and shape, one of the guys around me said it was a B25 :-O but not sure there are any flying at present .. Twin engined and had a "WW2 throb" to the engines .. slow climb out of Warton right over top of us on Park View 4u Playpark .. stopped everyone in there tracks

cant be a B-25 none flying in UK.
I heard it from home in lytham and it did sound like a heavy piston throb. Maybe was the anson (avro C19) a fairly frequent visitor at Warton, also twin engine piston; always difficult to judge size, appearing larger than it actually was...of course it could have been a DC3/Dakota. the mystery remains...

Sean, it was the Avro Anson (C19) G-AHKX/TX176 which is currently parked at Blackpool Airport outside High G Ltd Hangar (Hangar 2A) - just seen it on my dinner break.
Not sure why it has flown up from Shuttleworth, it is based there as part of the BAE Systems Heritage Collection.

Then another SRA (no compass no gyro?) with t+g 1531L & land 1533L.

I guess it was WTN 69 making a bit of noise over the S. lakes area, n.b. at 1355Z.

awesome .. Thank You Chris / Tombs ..
i was pretty sure it wasn't a B25 .. unless i had gone back 75 years through a time tunnel on the drive from Preston :-O
looked more possible to be DC3 but did seem a little smaller than that but just couldn't fathom what it was ... Mystery solved !

Sean/Tombs, went to Blackpool airport today and went inside and had a look around High G Ltd as booking a flight in one of there aircraft soon.
I asked about the Anson, it stopped off at Blackpool on its way to Loissemouth Families Day and returned back to Blackpool this evening at 18:15.
It is being flown by Warton Test Pilot T. 29 who also works within Hangar 2A as part of the BAE Systems Flying club along with two former Test Pilots.
Hangar 2A is being used tonight as the venue for T. 29s 50th, very nice chap who showed me around the Anson. It should be departing back to Shuttleworth tomorrow weather dependent.
