Regular visitors to New Brighton will see the ACL cargo boats used on the service
they are Atlantic Sea, Atlantic Star, Atlantic Sky, Atlantic Sail, sailing down the
River Mersey and entering/leaving Gladstone Dock on weekly sailings to and from
The USA/Canada.

Edit; I forgot the Atlantic Sun which is the 5th Cargo ship used, Each of the ships
has the letter G displayed on the hull which signifys that they are part of the
Gimaldi Shipping Company.

Why would you, when you can fly for a fraction of the price and time. Not even a decent cabin??????

Our cabins are actually quite good and the uptake in tickets is quite astonishing..

A lot of the passengers actually travel with camper vans so they can tour the US or Canada and not have to worry about hiring transportation on arrival.

You can also book tickets with:

Plenty of UK campers cross the English Channel both ferry and Eurotunnel.

Hi Mark, The class 70 loco in the hold was it a Colas? in your screensaver with Atlantic Sea there were a number of gulls, this morning there was an egret fishing close to Perch Rock. According to a twitcher he had not seen an egret on the Mersey and thought it had blown in the recent gales from the Dee Estuary.

Edit; for train spotters Colas class 70s 70815 & 70816 seen on board a G4.

All 4 of them were (think 818 was the one at the back next to 817). We get a lot of bird life around the Port, there's actually a bird sanctuary behind the Radar tower. Not my thing really, but there's a hell of a lot of Cormorants in residence at the moment..

Going back to cargo, these have still got to be a highlight for me...

https://platformlondon.org/2013/09/04/s ... t-voyager/ Yet another way to cross the Atlantic, there a number of ICL cargo boats
that travel from The USA to Europe first stop Liverpool then sail to European ports.
Not quite as big as The G4s of ACL
