I have put this on general chat, as it is not defined on scanning the airband.
Right in saying that we all know, or should that what we hear should really not passed on. Looking at some other forums on scanning in general, there is a theme that because emergency services have gone TETRA, there is nothing to listen to. This is not true, besides airband and marine band there are still more to hear. NO not radio 1, but other bands such as private mobile radio (PMR). There is also amature bands and HF bands.
The PMR band is a very wide band, and includes taxis and shop watch to name but many.
As I said keep what you hear to yourself, but in saying that how do other websites get away with printing the frequency information of who transmit on which frequency? .
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: What you listening to?
Very intresting Undertaker. A couple of loopholes here after reading the article.
1) You are able to have and buy a scanner. Yes.
2) You cannot listen to pirate radio, eg. Radios which are Un licence to transmit. CB is in licenced can you listen to this? .
3) You are not allowed to pass on to what you hear. So you cannot talk about what you hear, but what about writing frequcies on websites and books?.
So go ahead get a scanner but don't talk about what you hear, send it to your favorite website, so millions can see. No problem as you did not talk.

Re: What you listening to?
Passing on or telling is not restricted to actually talking i.e. passing on orally. It means any method of communication.
Re: What you listening to?
And there have been no prosecutions in this country for listening to airband, talking about what they have heard or typing it out on a forum, in the 40 years that I have been doing exactly that
