"We" - I didn't think Wales were playing :P
I'm born and bred in England. Happen to suffer this misfortune of living in Wales.

For the record, from my personal point of view, the sooner England are knocked out the better. For me the best World Cup would be one where neither England, Wales or Scotland are in it.
Blimee you don't number crunch , don't like England , don't like Ladders - if I was gay I don't think you would be my cup of tea!

As a non-rugby and non-football fan, being English and living in Wales is very difficult. In the run upto any international fixture all I get is "We're gonna beat you!" etc etc. Then after the match where England more often than not seem to win I get a load of grief for that too. So no matter who plays both before and after the match its annoying as hell.

Therefore I try to take the independent non-caring position - and want everyone to loose or be out so I hear as little about it as possible.

And I'm not aware I ever said I don't like ladders. For gay people with bad knees ladders are probably a god send.

Whilst you are now aware that I don't like football. I will, however admit to being fiercely patriotic, which is why I will watch the England matches. Don't do number crunching, and dislike ladders, but I DO like sunshine, aeroplanes, motor-racing, travel and pretty women, which doesn't leave much time for anything else!!!. I must confess that I did go to one football match. Great Missenden versus Prestwood.[In Bucks.] 65 yearsago!. :)

Not a huge football fan but I watched the Russia V Egypt game last night to see what all the fuss was about Mo Farrah. He may be able to run, but I wasn't at all impressed by his ball skills!! :S

Two of the goals resulted from Panama's appalling discipline. England cannot chalk this up as a great win, when one considers that the opposition were scarcely up to a decent standard of play.

Although Panama may not be the greatest team in the world England can only beat the teams put in front of them. The difference with this team is the football is enjoyable to watch. I use to go and watch England home games until the mid 2000s and after the 2010 world cup I gave up completely. Couldn't even be bothered to read the reports in the paper. It was like the players could not be bothered so why should I. This world cup I've just started to watch them again and I like the way they are playing and some of the best set play routines I've seen England play out. The true test to see how far we come will be on Thursday against Belgium.
