Halfpenny Fly-in

The Northern Forties Historical Re-Enactment Group are attendees at numerous events across Britain, from country fairs to airshows and the chances are you will have come across a member before without realising it. The 21st and 22nd of May 2011 saw them host their own event at Halfpenny Green Airport near Wolverhampton. Steve Smith went to investigate “Halfpenny At War” for AeroResource.co.uk...

Great coverage of a new event.

I know the team in the tower were frustrated at the lack of flying visitors, especially after so many had ppr'd. It wasn't a case of lack of interest, simply a case of the weather elsewhere, especially the wind, not playing ball.

The good news is that a date has been pencilled in for the same event next year.
